Carrie Fisher’s ashes brought to funeral in giant Prozac pill
She kept her wicked sense of humour right until the end
Carrie Fisher and her mum Debbie Reynolds were laid to rest at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Los Angeles on Friday morning.
As close friends and family gathered to say their final goodbyes, Carrie’s brother Todd Fisher could be seen carrying his sister’s ashes in an urn shaped like a Prozac pill.
‘Carrie’s favorite possession was a giant Prozac pill that she bought many years ago. A big pill,’ said Todd after the funeral service in an interview with Entertainment Tonight.
Carrie was open about her battle with bipolar disorder, and frequently spoke about the condition in her work.
‘She loved it, and it was in her house, and Billie and I felt it was where she’d want to be,’ he said of the unusual item.
‘We couldn’t find anything appropriate. Carrie would like that. It was her favorite thing, and so that’s how you do it.
‘And so they’re together, and they will be together here and in heaven, and we’re OK with that.’
