Another cheating scandal has hit the Royal Family.
In a new biography, Prince Charles: The Passions and Paradoxes of an Improbably Life, it is claimed the 68-year-old Prince of Wales had a “fling” with entrepreneur Sue Townsend.
This was said to have been while he was still married to Princess Diana, and ‘involved’ with Camilla.
Palace insiders have said that Camilla is outraged and humiliated by the claims in the book.
“She is absolutely incensed,” a source told RadarOnline.
“She always believed she had Charles very much under her thumb.
“He shared her bed for years, before and during his marriage to Diana – and ignored that she was married to one of his friends, Andrew Parker-Bowles.
“Cunning Camilla used sex to control Charles, and the idea he had the hots for another woman — especially one described as a younger, prettier Camilla look-alike — sent her into a jealous frenzy.
“I’m told she exploded when she learned about Sue,” the source revealed.
The writer of the book, Sally Bedell Smith, says that Townsend doesn’t deny the relationship with the Prince was romantic.
“I don’t think we’ll go down that road (but) yes, we were close, but it was a long time ago,” Townsend said.
