Camilla has orchestrated the release of an autobiography slamming Princess Diana in an effort to sway public opinion in her favour.
Desperate to clear her own name and paint the late princess in a bad light as she embarks on a mission to become Queen, Camilla has released the ‘real story’ behind her affair with Prince Charles in a book that’s just hit the stands.
In it, Camilla’s friends and family reveal how Diana threatened to have the duchess killed in a series of menacing phone calls, and manipulated the media to paint her and Charles in a negative light.
Not surprisingly, the book has outraged Prince William and Prince Harry, who are disgusted that Camilla has launched this attack on the eve of the 20th anniversary of their mother’s death.
‘But Camilla doesn’t care,’ says a source close to the duchess.
‘[She’s] on a mission to become Queen and won’t stop until she’s made it,’ the insider adds.
