Speaking out for the first time since his sister JonBenet was murdered in 1996, Burke Ramsey has dismissed accusations his mother Patsy played a role in her death.
Burke, who was nine at the time of the murder, says his mum never exhibited any violent behaviour in the lead-up to JonBenet’s death.
‘It doesn’t make sense,’ Burke told Dr Phil of the theory against his mum. ‘Not to say she never got upset, but nothing near laying a finger on us, let alone killing her child.’
When it came to smacking as a punishment, Burke said his mother did ‘nothing of the sort. Not even close’.
The death of child beauty queen JonBenet made headlines worldwide after she was found dead in the basement of her Colorado home on Boxing Day.
The Ramsay family have long been shrouded in suspicion over her death, despite being cleared by DNA evidence in 2008.
