Former celebrity bride Brynne Edelsten, 33, has been declared bankrupt today in Melbourne – a dramatic fall from financial grace after her glittering marriage to high profile businessman Geoffrey Edelsten, 73.
The sad turn of events follows reports the blonde US import was being chased by a Victorian law firm for a reported $70,000 in unpaid fees. It is believed the sum relates to legal representation during her divorce from her high-flying ex.
Once known for her extravogant lifestyle and jet-setting ways, Brynne has recently claimed to be cutting back on costs – living in a relatively modest one bedroom apartment while waiting for her divorce settlement to come through.
The couple famously wed in a $3 million ceremony, before things fell apart amid allegations of cheating and betrayal.
Brynne has yet to publicly comment on the news.
