A British woman has come forward to reveal the dark secret her parents kept from her for 29-years.

Speaking to The Sun, Donna Price – now 31 – confessed that her whole world fell apart when in 2014 she found out that her parents were brother and sister.

“I feel my childhood was all based on a lie. I hate them,” the distraught woman said.

“There are not enough words to describe how much I hate them.”

Growing up, Donna and her three siblings had the perfect childhood, however three years ago she was given the shocking news that her parents were in an incestuous relationship via a Facebook message form an estranged aunt.

“I had thought it was somebody just trying to stir up stuff because surely that sort of thing could never have happened.

“But her reply was yes, they are brother and sister.”

“My son had just been discharged from hospital after being poorly and I come out of the hospital and my phone went ping and it was that message.

“I felt sick and my stomach just dropped.

“I spoke to my partner about it and decided I would wait until after Christmas, have a normal day as much as I could while I gathered up information.”

By the end of 2014, Donna had reported her parents to the police, leading to a two year investigation which would eventually see both parents receive a suspended sentence.

However, Donnas ordeal didn’t end there, as she learned during the process of the investigation that the man she grew up calling dad was not her real father after a DNA test found her mother had an affair with an unknown man.

However, police confirmed that  her three younger siblings were her parents’ biological children.

When contacted by The Sun, Donna’s dad expressed remorse but claimed he couldn’t help falling in love with his half-sister – who he didn’t meet until adulthood.

“Looking at it now, then yes, it was wrong,” he confessed.

The pair are alleged to have met in a pub in the 1980’s, but didn’t find out they were brother and sister until a year into their relationship.

Donna now refuses to call her parents mum and dad and wants nothing more to do with them.

“It was horrendous and one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do,’ she said of her decision to report them to the police.

“But I still would have done the same thing again.”

“How two people managed to manipulate and con people – how can you do that to anyone?”
