Just weeks after announcing she was expecting her third child, British singer Charlotte Church has released a statement revealing she has tragically miscarried.
“Charlotte and Johnny are very sad to announce that they lost their baby. Now is a time for grieving and being together as a family,” the statement read. “We kindly ask everyone to respect that peace,” a statement on the 31-year-old’s Twitter page read.
The baby was believed to have been due in November and would have been her first child with musician partner Johnny Powell – she also shares Ruby, nine and Dexter, eight with her ex parter, former rugby star Gavin Henson.
The Welsh star had publically revealed she was expecting her third child during the Birmingham Pride concert in May, and in a rare interview earlier this year, the former child star said she hadn’t ‘ruled out’ having more kids.
‘I’m really happy with my dude. He’s lush, he’s so smart and he really looks after me,’ she spilled.
I don’t know. I’d never rule out anything. Never say never!’
Charlotte initially came to the publics attention at the tender age of 11 as a classical singer, beofee branching out into pop music and enjoying a brief stint as a TV presenter with her own series The Charlotte Church Show.
