Shock jock Kyle Sandilands has been hospitalised following complications with a spider bite.
Jackie O announced the news live on-air this morning after the 45-year-old failed to turn up to co-host the pair’s KIIS FM breakfast radio show.
Jackie told listeners how she prompted Kyle to see a doctor after it was suspected he was bitten on the leg, but the wound quickly became infected.
Kyle revealed how serious his injury was, telling his radio team:
“My leg has swelled up, it’s gone dark purple, I’ve spent over five grand on medical bills.”
Off-air he also shared his concern that he might lose his leg due to the extent of the infection.
“I’ve had dreams that my leg has been amputated,” he confessed.
Jackie then joked that she would look to source a prosthetic limb for her co-host in case his fears came true.
