There’s been much speculation surrounding George Michael’s passing since the shock news broke nearly three months ago.
But now the singers cause of death has finally been revealed.
In an autopsy report, British coroner Darren Salter establishes that the 53-year-old died of natural causes after suffering from “dilated cardiomyopathy with myocarditis and a fatty liver.”
“Dilated cardiomyopathy is a condition in which the heart’s ability to pump blood is limited, while myocarditis is inflammation of the heart muscle,” CBS News reports.
A follow up statement released by Salter explains that as George’s death was not suspicious, an inquest will not be held.
“No further updates will be provided and the family requests the media and the public respect their privacy,” the statement read.
