Pop legend George Michael will not be buried until at least March – three months after his death – after the coroner ordered a new round of detailed tests on his body.
The legendary singer is still laying in a London mortuary after dying on Christmas day, leaving friends and family exasperated and distressed as they struggle to understand why his body has not yet been released for burial.
With initial testing failing to find a conclusive reason for the legend’s death, and with ongoing suspicions about what really happened, an unprecedented further round of testing has been ordered.
George’s assets have been frozen and an executor will take charge of his multi-million dollar estate.
A family source told the Sun on Sunday that his loved ones are reeling over the news.
‘They just don’t understand why it is taking so long.
‘It is really upsetting that George is still lying in the morgue when people want to say goodbye to him.’
