Angelina Jolie has broken her silence on her split from Brad Pitt in a world exclusive interview with BBC World News.
When pressed on the matter of her divorce, a visibly emotional Angelina admitted she has been going through a very tough time.
‘I don’t want to say very much about that, except to say it was a very difficult time and we are a family, and we will always be a family.
‘And we will get through this time and hopefully be a stronger family for it.’
The couple, who first got together on the set of Mr And Mrs Smith back in 2005, have been wrangling over custody of their children, Maddox, 15, Pax, 13, Zahara, 12, Shiloh, 10, and Knox and Vivienne, both 8.
‘Many, many people find themselves in this situation,’ she told the BBC.
‘My whole family have all been through a difficult time. My focus is my children, our children and my focus is finding this way through.
‘We are and forever will be a family and so that is how I am coping.
‘I am coping with finding a way through to make sure that this somehow makes us stronger and closer.’
