Forget winter, it looks like romance is coming…for Brad Pitt and Game Of Thrones star Emilia Clarke!
The actor’s secret crush on the British actress, who plays Daenerys Targaryen in the hit show, was revealed last week when he bid a huge amount for a date night with her. And while the sale was for charity, it hasn’t stopped speculation that Brad is eyeing up Emilia, 31, as the next lucky lady in his life.
‘Brad was completely spellbound by Emilia and he was constantly looking over at her the entire night,’ an onlooker tells New Idea. ‘It was so obvious he was into her.’
The auction took place during Sean Penn’s annual gala for Haiti, and Brad, 54, made his affections for Emilia loud and clear when he put in an impressive $120,000 bid to watch Games Of Thrones with its beautiful star. And it seems the actor was there solely for Emilia.
According to PEOPLE, he was preoccupied with his phone until he heard her name called out, then looked up and started clapping!
‘He’s a huge Game Of Thrones fan and always had a thing for Khaleesi, but when he saw her in the flesh he was instantly taken aback by her beauty,’ adds the source.
Emilia, who appears to have been living the single life since splitting with comedian Seth McFarlane in 2013, looked flattered, smiling and giggling through the auction.
Sadly, despite being egged on by would-be wingman Leonardo DiCaprio at the next table, Brad was pipped to the post by a husband and wife who bid $160,000 at the January 7 auction in LA.
While Brad missed his chance with Emilia this time around, she seems keen to follow up on a date – only smiling coyly when asked by reporters if she’d go out with the handsome actor.
