Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s increasingly toxic divorce is now going private – with the pair announcing they are no longer proceeding through the courts in their bitter divorce and custody struggle.
They have released a joint statement confirming they are employing a private judge to adjudicate their split, following weeks of increasingly bitter leaks and innuendo from close sources, apparently designed to disparage the opposing side’s parenting.
“The parties and their counsel have signed agreements to preserve the privacy rights of their children and family by keeping all court documents confidential and engaging a private judge to make any necessary legal decisions and to facilitate the expeditious resolution of any remaining issues” the pair said in the statenent.
“The parents are committed to act as a united front to effectuate recovery and reunification.”
