Star says gesture of love was a 'defining moment'

Bindi Irwin has spoken of taken the next step in her relationship with boyfriend Chandler Powell, presenting him with his very own pair of khakis!

Gushing about the moment she first saw her wakeboarding beau sporting the family uniform, Bindi says it took their love to the next level.

‘I love seeing you in khaki it makes me so happy,’ Bindi enthused to her 19-year-old boyfriend on Entertainment Tonight.

Joining the family on their annual ‘croc trip’ through the Steve Irwin Wildlife Reserve in Far North Queensland where they catch and study the crocs, Bindi says donning the get-up made famous by her late dad Steve is a right of passage.

‘It was kind of like, this really big step,’ says the 18-year-old, adding: ‘It was kind of one of those moments that was a real defining moment for me, because you know, it’s only the people who are the closest to us that get their khakis.’
