It’s been 13 years since Steve Irwin tragically passed away and his daughter Bindi has revealed that she still cries when she sees him on the big screen.
The heartbreaking confession was made in a new interview with Stellar magazine.

“It was just an ordinary day and we were playing the video where we petition against harvesting of crocodile eggs,” she said. “There’s old footage of dad with the crocodiles and, even though I’ve seen the video maybe 50 times, that day I started crying.”
Bindi added, “Some days you feel the grief more than others. What gets to me are those moments when I’d love him to be here to share what we’re doing.“
“It could be when my brother is receiving an accolade for his photography, or it might be at the end of the day when we’re having dinner and laughing. I’ll think: ‘I wish Dad was here for this.’ But he’s just not there,” she said.
On September 4, 2006, Steve was working on an underwater flick called Ocean’s Deadliest when he was attacked by a stingray and died at age 44.
Bindi was eight years old when her father died and brother Robert just two.
She maintains that she and her family are committed to continuing Steve’s legacy.
“We’re doing it our own way, but you can feel dad’s spirit in everything we do. I’ve found such comfort in being able to follow in his footsteps,” she said.
The 20-year-old recently sparked engagement rumours after sharing a romantic declaration about boyfriend Chandler Powell to her Instagram.
“A little appreciation post❤️ @chandlerpowell, thank you for always being there. I’m grateful every day for you. You’re my sunshine. Always,” Bindi said in her sweet post.
To which Chandler, 22, immediately replied, with his own loving response.
“This made my entire day. I love you so much. Thank you for being the kindest and most amazing girl a guy could ask for❤️” he commented on the post.
Fans were quick to comment that the pair are perfect for each other and should make it official.
“Pop the question Chandler!!!” said one excited fan.
Another agreed: “PUT A RING ON IT, CHANDLER.”
“Am I the only one who gets excited every time they post thinking it’s an engagement,” commented another.
