Bindi Irwin has revealed the rules Steve Irwin once gave her about dating.
In a live segment on the Today show to promote Australia Zoo, the 18-year-old said ‘My dad was the most protective of anyone.’
‘He always said, “Before Bindi is allowed to date, the guy has to cross our toughest crocodile pond”, so he has to swim across the pond,’
And in an interview with Today Extra the next day, the former Dancing with The Stars contestant confirmed her late father’s strict dating advice saying: ‘Dad actually said, “These are the rules”’.
Bindi and her American wakeboarding beau have been dating for nearly four years and appear to be stronger than ever.
Just recently, the Aussie star shared yet another gushing tribute to her boyfriend on Instagram.
‘Thank you for the happiness every day. Thank you for your strength, kindness and wisdom no matter what. Thank you for all of the adventures and embarking on this journey with me,’ she wrote, alongside a picture of the pair cuddled up in front of a beautiful mountainous landscape.
