Bindi Irwin has given her first interview since announcing her engagement to boyfriend of six years Chandler Powell.

On Wednesday, July 24, the 21-year-old took to Instagram to tell fans that she and Chandler are set to tie the knot.
Now the the Australia Zoo conservationist has revealed how she will honour her late father Steve Irwin on her big day.
‘I think that for me, it’ll be really important that Robert walks me down the aisle. That’s something that I really want to do,’ she told Entertainment Tonight.
She says Robert has ‘always stepped up and been the one to give me a hug when I need it and encourage me forward in life’.
Bindi also revealed that she would have her father and daughter dance with mum, Terri Irwin.
However all the excitement around the engagement has been bittersweet as she desperately wishes father Steve was here.
‘It was so incredibly special. But then, at the same time for me on a personal note, there’s people who I really wish could be here today for this time in my life. Particularly my dad.’
And while a date is yet to be set, Bindi has already started planning for her big day.
After news of her engagement was announced, Bindi took to the comments section of her fiance’s post to give fans the details of her engagement ring.
‘For those wondering about my ring, I’m so happy to share,’ Bindi began.
‘My ring features a lab grown diamond and is made with rose gold recycled metal. Chandler was incredibly thoughtful when he chose it. The ring captures the essence of who I am (with its vintage flare) and our life together with the twisted band and scattered diamonds.’
