Ben Affleck has moved out of the guesthouse where he’s been living for 18 months and back into the mansion with Jennifer Garner, US magazine The National Enquirer is reporting today.
“This is what Jen has been praying for,” an insider tells the publication. “She never wanted a divorce, but felt she had no other options. Finally, Ben has sobered up enough to come home.”
The couple’s 10-year marriage fell apart in mid-2015 due to Ben’s “out-of-control gambling, boozing and alleged cheating with the family’s nanny Christine Ouzounian,” according to The Enquirer.
After a stint at the Hotel Bel-Air, Ben moved into the two-bedroom guesthouse at the couple’s compound in LA’s Pacific Palisades neighborhood.
The couple went on family vacations together with kids Violet, 11, Seraphina, 8, and Sam, 5, in spite of their split.
Ben has managed to turn things around with the help of his detox nurse, Elizabeth Weaver, and now the guesthouse is being renovated into a children’s play area, The Enquirer reports.
“The kids are thrilled Daddy is finally back,” says the source, adding: “The three of them – and Jen – are hoping that this time it’s for good.”
