Jennifer Garner has officially filed for divorce from Husband Ben Affleck nearly two years after they announced their separation.
The Gone Girl actor also submitted a near identical response in what is being described as an ‘amicable’ split after 12 years of marriage.
Firther emphasising the peaceful nature of the split is the fact the pair filed without a lawyer and are asking for joint legal and physical custody of their three children, Violet, 11, and Seraphina, eight, and five-year-old son Samuel.
There is also no specific request for spousal support, reports TMZ. The pair have no prenuptial agreement, with each entitled to an equal split of assets. Ben is worth an estimated $105 million, whilst Jen is said to be worth $60 million.
The pair announced their separation in 2015 after claims Ben had been cheating with the family nanny Christine Ouzounian, however in a later interview, although Jen seemed to confirm her husband had got close to the hired help, she stated the pair had split long before the incdident.
‘We had been separated for months before I ever heard about the nanny.
‘She had nothing to do with our decision to divorce. She was not a part of the equation. Bad judgment? Yes.’
