As she prepares to give birth to her second baby, Lara Worthington (nee Bingle) has opened up about the demands of juggling motherhood and work.
‘Being a mum is the hardest job in the world, but it definitely is the most rewarding,’ says the businesswoman who has a son, 16-month-old Rocket Zoe with her husband Sam Worthington.
Although she runs her skincare brand The Base, Lara has said family is her key focus.
‘For me, my number one priority is my son and my family. The business and everything else works around that.’
Explaining how she manages both roles, Lara says: ‘I get to do my work at night when he’s (Rocket) sleeping. My workspace is everywhere. It’s all over the world.’
She also says she’s embracing having two children close together. ‘I’m sure it might seem full-on at the beginning for me, and it’s probably a lot harder than it is now, but when they get older they can share their life together.’
