Bec Hewitt has found a solution to the grind of putting up and taking down Christmas decorations. Just don’t!
The star has confessed that her Christmas tree has been standing for an astounding eight years, thanks in part to her and husband Lleyton’s high-flying travel schedules.
‘Normally, we’ve been living overseas, and we fly in to Australia quite late,’ she laughingly told Pop Sugar.
‘I don’t know if this is a little bit sad but our Christmas tree has been up for eight years. Because we fly in and it’s nearly Christmas time, and then we have to leave for the Australian Open in a hurry, so we just don’t get round to it; I’m busy packing. However, I have taken it down, because I want my kids to have the joy of decorating the Christmas tree!’
While it may be convenient, it seems the kids are missing getting to decorate the tree for themselves.
‘It doesn’t matter what time you come to my house, it’s Christmas,’ Bec told the site.
‘The kids would like, one year, to decorate the house with Christmas lights. That’s something they look forward to.’
