Former Home and Away star turned tennis bride Bec Hewitt has had her day ruined in a very unpleasant way: receiving a parking ticket for up to $400. It’s a rare downer for the star, whose son Cruz has recently been showing amazing signs he might take after his spotlight-grabbing parents – see video below.

The Australian celeb, who is married to tennis star Lleyton Hewitt, was attending a vet appointment with the family dog Bux, when she stopped her can in a truck zone.

With Bec off attended to her four-legged friend, a parking warden swooped. Noticing the ticket, a panicked Bec rushed over to find she was far too late to do anything about it – her face sinking at the reality of the heavy fine.

Climbing back into her Mercedes-Benz, Bec drove off – hopefully comforted by the cushioning fact that her husband is a multi millionaire Australian Open and Wimbledon legend. And she might have a few lingering royalties from All Seats Taken!

The onetime cover girl, who played Hayley Smith on Aussie drama Home and Away from 1998 to 2005, lives in a $12.7million Toorak mansion with Lleyton and kids Ava, Mia and Cruz.

‘What Lleyton will make of the fine remains to be seen. Last year, the couple were seen at the Melbourne Cup having a tense exchange and various outlets reported that the tennis ace had ‘grown tired of his wife’s demands’.

Around the same time, sources told New Idea that Bec was planning a career comeback after having put her acting on hold while Lleyton pursued his position among the world’s great tennis players. But husband’s alleged involvement got in the way.

‘There was a scene where Bec was required to slow dance with her on-screen husband and he said no to that,’ says the source.

‘The producers wanted Bec because she is talented and hasn’t worked in recent times.

‘She’s a great actor and her return would have been celebrated. She was all for it, too, excited but still nervous, and said she would love to get back into acting.’

With that parking fine, she may need to!
