Barbra Streisand is mourning the loss of her beloved pet dog, Samantha.
The 75-year-old singer took to Instagram on Saturday to share the news with fans that the Coton de Tulear pooch had passed.
“This is the last time my picture was taken with my beloved girl Samantha,” the singer captioned the candid snap.
“May she rest in peace. We cherish every moment of the 14 years we had with her. May 2003 – May 2017.
Fans were quick to show their support of the grieving star with comments such as: “So sorry for your loss,” and “RIP Sam!”
According to a source close to the actress, the pair were previously inseparable.
“Barbra was devoted to Sammie,” the source told PEOPLE.
“At home in Malibu, he followed her around wherever she went. He was truly a loving companion. Her best friend.”
