Former US Bachelorette star Michael Nance has passed away.
The 31-year-old, who competed for a chance to win the heart of Emily Maynard on season eight of the ABC show, was found “unresponsive” in the early hours of May 29, Radar Online reports.

“At this point it is not a suspicious death and the manner will be determined by the medical examiner,” a spokeswoman for the Austin Police Department told E! News.
The heartbreaking news was confirmed by the budding musician’s sister Misty via Facebook.
“My precious mother and Michael,” she captioned a throwback snap of the pair.
“We are all terribly heartbroken, but as a parent this is your worst nightmare. Our lives will never be the same.”

Maynard also took to social media on Tuesday to pay tribute to the reality TV star.
“So sad waking up to the news about Michael Nance,” she wrote on Twitter.
“Such a kind heart with so much talent. Sending prayers and love to his family and friends.”
In a deleted scene from the show filmed in 2012, Nance admitted to struggling with drug addiction in the past.
“I was addicted to prescription drugs,” he revealed.
“It’s a vicious cycle… I’m almost two years sober now.”
