He spent eight weeks vying for Georgia Love’s heart, but in last night’s episode of The Bachelorette Matty Johnson walked away without a rose.
‘I’m so sorry because you are so amazing. And I’ve really genuinely loved every single moment that we’ve had … And you deserve… ..someone who’s gonna give you back everything that you give and more,’ Georgia said.
Visibly heartbroken, Matty replied: ‘I wanted to meet someone here who I thought I could spend the rest of my life with and… ..I have. But… Yeah, it just… ..it sucks you don’t feel the same way.’
Speaking to Mamamia about his experience on the show, the runner-up said there was always a chance he was going to get his heart broken.
‘[I] knew what pain was going to be coming my way,’ he said.
‘I’ve only ever been in love once before and to have that, and experience so many amazing times we had together are memories I am going to cherish forever.
‘Nobody wants to get hurt, it would be easy to live life trying to avoid any situation where you might get hurt, but then you’re not really living, are you?’
