The 22-year-old was led on stage by his proud mum before explaining to the panel of judges how he suffers from a rare eye disorder called Leber congenital amaurosis.

An incredible talent, Paul brought the house down and left judge Nicole Scherzinger in tears, while Shane Jacobson, Lucy Durack and Manu Feildel joined the crowd in giving the amazing vocalist a standing ovation.

While Nicole shed more than a few tears, it was Lucy who was the most overwhelmed of the judges, giving Paul the first Golden Buzzer of the season.

“That was magic, that was absolutely why we all came. You sing with such honesty and heart,” Lucy began.
