Beloved Australian actress and A Country Practice star Penny Cook has died at the age of 61.
In a statement released via her management company on behalf of her family, they confirmed that she died of cancer on December 26.
Cook’s family said their “beloved partner, mother, daughter, sister and dear friend” died peacefully.
“The family wish to express their thanks for all messages of condolence forwarded to them.”
As well as starring as veterinarian Vicky Dean in A Country Practice, Cook is known for her role in TV show The Flying Doctors.
