Victoria Police have arrested the 40-year-old Uber driver, who has now been released. He is expected to be charged on summons.
‘There is no place for the type of behaviour described and our thoughts are with the woman and her family,’ an Uber spokesperson said in response to the news.
‘We removed the driver’s access to the platform as soon as we became aware of these allegations.’
