He claims he’s being painted as the ‘villain’ of the show, but Married At First Sight star Anthony is well and truly living up to his reputation.
The racing broadcaster has bemoaned the lack of bedroom action in his new relationship, accusing his wife Nadia of being “frigid.”
During a dinner with friends during the homestay in Brisbane, the 33-year-old explained to the camera that the couples were not as physical as he expected them to be.
“We’ve had problems with intimacy,” he told producers.
But it was only after the guests engaged in a conversation about Nadia’s past relationships that the issue came to a head.
“Its not that I don’t have the option, I have options,” Nadia said, of her decision to partake in the experiment.
“But do I want to settle down with a 25-year-old? Not really.”
“Do I want to wake up in two years with them leaving because they’re not ready to commit? Guys will tell you anything they want to get what they want.”
But this comment did not sit well with Anthony, who blamed Nadia for her relationship problems.
“You went for the wrong blokes, that’s your error,” he spat.
“[But] we don’t need to talk about that because you’re married to me, I don’t need to know your history.”
He then proceeded to air the couple’s “intimacy” problems.
“I don’t really need to hear that stuff,” he told the camera.
“In terms of romance and intimacy with Nadia, she’s not comfortable with certain things. But from the sounds of it, she’s had guys in the past and she had no issues with them.”
A preview for Sunday night’s episode shows Anthony confronting his wife over the issue during a commitment ceremony.
“For lack of a better word, you’ve been frigid,” he says.
