Hollywood actress Anna Faris has been forced to pay a US$5000 fine after her pet dog was found emaciated and homeless.
According to reports from TMZ, Anna was ordered to pay the hefty penalty to Kinder4Reescue earlier this month after giving away her pet Chihuahua, Pete.
The animal rescue organization stipulates that giving away adopted animals is strictly forbidden.
Pete was found wondering the streets of North Hollywood early this month in an emaciated and feral state – It is thought Anna gave the dog away and then he either escaped, or was abandoned.
A representative for the Entourage star said: ‘Anna is thrilled that the dog has been found, and is ensuring all necessary arrangements are made to bring the dog home’.
This isn’t the first time Anna has come under fire for mistreatment of animals – in 2011 her husband, Chris Pratt caused outrage amongst fans when he tried to give the family cat away on Twitter.
