Angelina Jolie has proved she’s got a stomach of steel by chowing down on a feast of insects.
The 41year-old actress and her children were in Cambodia for Jolie’s film First They Killed My Father when they sampled the local delicacies.
‘I first had them when I was first in country,’ Jolie announced to BBC‘s Yalda Hakim.
‘Crickets – you start with crickets. Crickets and a beer, and then you kind of move up to tarantulas.’
The actress also recently broke her silence on her split from Brad Pitt.
‘I don’t want to say very much about that, except to say it was a very difficult time and we are a family, and we will always be a family,’ she said.
‘And we will get through this time and hopefully be a stronger family for it.’
The couple, who first got together on the set of Mr And Mrs Smith back in 2005, have been wrangling over custody of their children, Maddox, 15, Pax, 13, Zahara, 12, Shiloh, 10, and Knox and Vivienne, both 8.
‘Many, many people find themselves in this situation,’ she told the BBC.
‘My whole family have all been through a difficult time. My focus is my children, our children and my focus is finding this way through.
‘We are and forever will be a family and so that is how I am coping.
‘I am coping with finding a way through to make sure that this somehow makes us stronger and closer.’
