Actress Angelina Jolie is reportedly leaning on actor Johnny Depp for support as she prepares to divorce Brad Pitt.
News broke last week that Jolie, 41, filed for divorce from the actor, citing ‘irreconcilable differences’ while asking for full custody of all six children.
Depp, having recently divorced from wife Amber Heard, is reportedly supporting Jolie through this difficult time.
‘Angelina idolised Johnny for years before she worked with him on The Tourist, and then the pair of them really hit it off on set,’ a source told The Sun.
The source added: ‘There were rumours then that she was tempted by him, because it was around then she told a magazine fidelity wasn’t ‘absolutely essential.’
‘With both Brad and Johnny’s then wife Vanessa Paradis on set, nothing was going to happen.
‘But the two of them have stayed in touch ever since then, and spoke regularly during the storm that surrounded Johnny’s break up with Amber.
Jolie filed for divorce last week. A source later revealed to TMZ the decision came after Brad, 52, reportedly became ‘verbally’ and ‘physically’ abusive with one of their older children while on board their private plane on September 14.
Another source told People the claims are false, adding: ‘It [the altercation] did not reach the level of physical abuse, that no one was physically harmed.’
