They split around two months ago but Andy Lee still seems to have his ex-girlfriend Rebecca Harding on his mind.
The Melbourne-based radio host has spoken about the moment he told accidently told his 25-year-old ex he loved her.
‘I had found out that Bec had got a new job, so I was ringing her to congratulate her on the new job,’ the 35-year-old said on air yesterday.
‘We’re chatting away and we’re getting towards the end of the conversation, when Dad rings through on the other line… so I said to Bec: ‘Hey Bec, I’ve got to go, dad’s calling through’ and she says no problem. I said: ‘Thanks very much. Love you’.’
The funny man continued: ‘And at that point I just realised I’d said ‘I love you’, which was something you were allowed to say a while back, back when you were going out.’
‘But it’s not the sign off of choice now. I went ‘Ahhhhh!’ and hung up the phone.’
The pair began dating in January 2015 after meeting in a café where Rebecca was working as a waitress.
‘I was trying to chat to her, so I was ordering a lot,’ Andy said on radio last year.
‘I had like an hour and a half breakfast and you know I don’t really like that because I like getting in and out in food situations.’
