Alison Brie looks more and more captivating as every year goes by. With gorgeous blue eyes and dark brown hair, this sexy girl next door stood out in the recurring role of prissy suburban house-wife Trudy Vogel in 2007’s Mad Men, for which she bagged a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series, in 2009.
That same year, she also had fans laughing hysterically when she played Annie Edison, an ex-Adderall-addict turned studious college student on the hit show, Community.
These days you can see Alison Brie in the Netflix Original series GLOW, or Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling, a comedy-drama series that follows a group of misfits who reinvent themselves. Prepare for big poufy perms, metallic bold prints, and a lot of colourful spandex leotards when you watch this show.

Personal Life
Before fame and fortune (she is now estimated at $5 million and the numbers are still going up), Alison Brie Schermerhorn, along with older sister Lauren were raised by their Christian father Charles Terry Schermerhorn and Jewish mother Joanne Brenner. Her father was a musician and entertainment journalist, while her mother was a teacher at a community college and also served as a director for a non-profit childcare agency.
The family originally lived in Montecito Heights, Los Angeles, but divorced when Alison was young, moving to South Pasadena.
Education
Brie was interested in acting very early. She began her career performing on stage at the Jewish Community Centre in Southern California. After graduating from South Pasadena High School in 2001, Brie knew she wanted to pursue acting, and attended the California Institute of the Arts where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting for Film in 2005. She also studied at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow, Scotland for a brief period of time.
Career
Before succeeding as a television actress, Alison Brie worked as a clown for kids’ birthday parties with the perfect clown name to describe California. She was called Sunny. She also played in local theatres and made her film acting debut in 2004 playing Alice in Stolen Poem. Her first television role was in 2006 as the character Nina, a novice hairdresser, alongside Miley Cyrus on the musical comedy series, Hannah Montana.
It was Alison’s 2007 casting in Mad Men that sent her career on a rapid-fire trajectory in the right direction. After Mad Men and Community wrapped up, Alison found herself presented with an incredible opportunity to be cast in the Netflix Original GLOW.
GLOW
Alison Brie has always taken a staunch view on nudity on the screen, and so it came as a surprise when she eagerly signed up for Netflix’s GLOW.
Very different from the previous television shows she has been a part of, Alison plays the role of Ruth Wilder, a struggling actress that heads to a casting call in Los Angeles. The 34-year-old actress already knew from her first auditions for GLOW that nudity and sex scenes were going to be a big part of the show, and she was all up for it. In fact, Alison’s character has a naked sex scene in the first episode.
Brie has commented that the scenes in GLOW were not being shot in a way that was over-sexualizing nor exploitative. Instead, she found the scenes freeing and empowering as a woman. The writers wanted the characters portrayed in a way that was realistic for that era, and so the shots are raw and authentic.
Recently, Alison has been nominated as a Best Actress in a Television Series Musical or Comedy in the Golden Globe Awards for her role in GLOW. She also has two nominations from the Screen Actors Guild Awards for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series and Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series.
Private Life
When it comes to her personal life, Alison tries to keep a low profile. As much as other Hollywood couples love to announce their relationships via a press release, a photo of them kissing on their social media accounts, or even a grand debut at red carpet events, the first time Alison was photographed holding hands with someone was in a store. No one even knew that she was dating Dave Franco, until they were seen and photographed while shopping for groceries in 2012.
Apparently, Alison Brie and Dave Franco had already been dating for six months before the paparazzi photographed them together. They’re both very private people and that is probably one of the reasons why their relationship has been so successful. In August 2015, after three years of dating, Alison was spotted with an engagement ring. Two years later, a rep confirmed that they were officially married yet all the details about their wedding are still under the wraps. Yes, that’s how private they truly are.
Choosing to not have children
While some newlyweds hurry to make babies, looks like Alison Brie and Dave Franco aren’t in the same boat and have chosen not to have children of their own. She joked that they already have two kids in the form of their cats named Harry and Arturo, and that they’re so involved with their cat’s lives that she would just get super stressed if it was a real child.
Alison Brie Nude – the Leaked photos scandal
Unfortunately for Alison, things haven’t always remained as private as she would like. Alison is yet another celebrity who has had private nude photos leaked online. Generally, these pics circulating the internet bother did not seem to bother her.
In 2013, she told Marc Maron on his WTF podcast that she already knew naked photos of her existed. “I would take off all my clothes and go run outside and be like a little wood nymph and get on a weird exercise machine.” So for Alison, it was only a matter of time before these Alison Brie naked nymph photos were to surface.
However, late last August, large quantity of photos of Alison Brie naked were stolen when her iCloud got hacked. Some photos looked like they were from 2015 while she was still shooting Mad Men, while other photos were more recent and more personal. For example, the photo dedicated to her husband, Dave Franco, with a ‘Happy Birthday My Love’ sign on it.
