Adele forced to restart song after singing off-key

Adele’s tribute to the late George Michael didn’t exactly go to plan…

The legendary British singer launched into George Michael’s “Fast Love” at the Grammys but stopped after a few seconds because she felt she was off key.

“I’m sorry, I can’t mess this up for him [George],” she explained to the crowd as the music cut off.

Despite the initial hiccup, Adele started over again and powered on through the track without a hitch.

The crowd cheered her on and she ended up receiving a standing ovation.

It was Adele’s second performance of the night. She opened the ceremony with a show-stopping performance of “Hello”.
