Sad News for The Nanny Fans: Grandma Yetta has died aged 87.
Ann Morgan Guilbert, the actress who played the popular character, died of Cancer on Tuesday.
Guilbert was best known for her role as Grandma Yetta in the 90s sitcom The Nanny, but will also be remembered for her time playing Millie Helper on The Dick Van Dyke Show.
More recently Guilbert appeared in the CBS comedy Life in Pieces and an episode of Grey’s Anatomy.
Actress Fran Drescher, who starred in The Nanny, shared a tribute on Twitter.
‘Such a great actress,’ she wrote. ‘I thank you Annie. Thank you for all the laughs! May you be cracking them up in heaven!’
