In an emotional final episode of the popular Channel Seven show, parents of two Aaron and Daniella beat close mates Kate and Harry to the title of 2017 House Rules winners.
The Gold Coast married couple ultimately beat five other teams to the top prize in the most explosive season ever of House Rules.
They beat Kate and Harry by just two points in a tough final challenge as decided by judges Wendy Moore, Drew Heath, Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen.
Aaron and Daniella entered the competition in a bid to give their sons, Jaxon, three and Brooklyn, one, a better life.
‘It’s been the biggest challenge in our lives apart from having children,’ Daniella, 38, told New Idea.
‘We went from really tired to even more tired but to see our children made everything ok.
‘We always had our children on our mind.’
Aaron, 31, admits ‘they were always in the back of our minds’.
‘We used that as a motivator to do what we needed to do. They’re why we were in the competition to give them more opportunity.’
Aaron and Daniella take home $200,000 in prize money and a fully renovated home inside and out.
