A family has been destroyed after a 7 year old girl was brutally murdered on her way home from primary school – the crime made all the worse by the stunning revelation another child was allegedly responsible.
Little Katie Rough was found bleeding to death with her throat cut in a pedestrian laneway after she was attacked, apparently in broad daylight. Sadly she died after being taken to hospital.
Police in the UK city of York have now charged a 15-year-old girl with murder and possession of an offensive weapon.
