Here's why Camilla WILL be Queen

Behind the secret plan to make Charles Prince Regent in three years. - by Grace Back
  • 31 Oct 2018

Upon Queen Elizabeth II's death, Prince Charles will become King immediately.

Recent reports have claimed Her Majesty may, however, trigger a "period of regency", making sure the monarchy she has worked so hard to maintain is rightly handed over.

Former senior members of her Royal household believe the Queen will grant her eldest son the full power to reign while she still lives because of the respect she holds for the institution of monarchy, Robert Jobson write on Daily Mail.

According to the Royal expert, a "secret plan" is already under way at Kensington Palace.

This plan, Jobson claims, is a "smooth, discreet and unnoticed" handover of royal power.

The Prince of Wales' means the royal will be much more than a deputy, stepping up to stand in for his mother.

Jobson describes Charles' new secret role as the "Shadow King."

The future King's increased workload sees him regularly work 14-hour days and carry out more than 600 engagements a year at home and abroad.

Jobson adds that those close to the monarch believe if she reaches the age of 95, she will make the monumental decision and choose to officially allow Charles to tkae over the stewardship of her reign.

Her Majesty is believed to be considering officially transferring all executive powers to her firstborn son, making him the Prince Regent.

This secret plan is only further verified by the Queen's decision to elevate Camilla Parker-Bowles to her most senior advisory body, the Privy Council.

It's believed the Queen wanted her daughter-in-law to be at Prince Charles' side at the moment he becomes King.

As Jobson explains, as a privy councillor, Camilla can now attend the ceremony, normally held within 24 hours of a sovereign’s death.

Now, the question arises as to whether Camilla will become Queen.

Ever since the Prince of Wales married the Duchess of Cornwall in April 2005, the Royal Family have gone to great lengths to avoid any public uprising over the prospect of "Queen Camilla."

The royal couple's wedding announcement read, "It is intended that Mrs Parker Bowles should use the title HRH the Princess Consort when the Prince of Wales accedes to the throne."

The word "intended" caught the attention of several royal fans.

Jobson claims Charles has always intended for Camilla to become his Queen Consort.

According to palace sources, he’d already decided that before their wedding.

"There was no doubt in his mind at the time about that, and I honestly don’t think anything has changed," Jobson quotes a source as saying.

"In fact, I think he has hardened his resolve.

"For there to be any other outcome would, in his view, be to lessen his role as king.

"His marriage to Camilla is legal. She happens to be his second wife. That is it. Did any of Henry VIII’s wives not get the title?"

Clarence House has always claimed that the constitutional issue surrounding the title would be "a matter for the government of the day".
