But now aged 81, Burt Reynold’s frail physique is a far cry from his unforgettable Cosmo centre-fold days.
In fact, the Hollywood heavyweight was barely recognisable as he made an increasingly rare public appearance at The Palm Beach International Film Festival’s Student Showcase of Films in Florida earlier this week.
Pairing a black ensemble with rose-coloured glasses, The Boogie Nights star’s recent health problems seem to have well and truly taken their toll on the actor whose eyes looked almost sunken in his unshaven face.
In recent years, the movie star has endured rehab for drug and alcohol addiction, along with a quadruple heart bypass and back surgery from injuries sustained from doing various movie stunts over the years.
He has also been rumoured to have undergone multiple facelifts, although Reynold’s has previously denied ever going under the knife to sustain his rugged good looks.
Speaking with OK! Magazine the movie star set the record straight on cosmetic surgery reports.
“I was never lifted,” he said. “I would not have a problem with the truth, but I inherited my smooth skin from my father.”
