It's the shock confrontation that will split viewers
We have an exciting sneak peek at the new season of Bride and Prejudice: The Forbidden Weddings – which shows one angry mum raging at her prospective son-in-law, in scenes that will divide Australia.
Couple Tori and James are described as being from different worlds, with the groom-to-be from a working-class background, and Tori coming from money.
But their different upbringings are the least of their problems, with Tori’s mum Mary-Ann incensed by her daughter’s choice of a tattooed bad boy tradie.

‘He’s a moron,’ rages Mary-Ann. ‘I would rather see [Tori] alone.’
But the couple appear very much in love, with Tori explaining they had been dating for almost three years before ‘He got down on one knee and started crying’.
Explains James of the family drama he has found himself caught up in: ‘I don’t come from money. Tori’s side of the family grew up with money.’
Tensions explode when the couple meet with Mary-Ann to announce their plan to marry within 4 weeks.

‘It’s Tori and I – use the English words properly,’ snaps Mary-Ann.
James then storms away, muttering, ‘I’m not putting up with her,’ before letting fly with a beeped out swear word.
‘James doesn’t fit into our family at all, my ideal son in law would be a professional person,’ explains Mary-Ann of her indignation.
