Controversial reality TV show Bride and Prejudice saw lesbian couple, Jojo and Jess, fighting for recognition from Jojo's strict parents on Wednesday night's episode - with the drama culminating in a clash inside a catholic church.

Jess, 28, was desperate for her partner's mum and dad to attend their same-sex wedding and asked Sid to walk his daughter Jojo down the aisle.
However, the Lebanese couple were having none of it, and refused point blank to acknowledge their daughter's wishes, before they made a shock accusation against Jess.
"God gave you this child and you're not even accepting her because she's gay?" Jess cried.
"She wasn't gay before she met you!" Lody barked back.
"She was not gay, no she wasn't."
Jess and Lody couldn't agree about Jojo's future

However, Jess wasn't taking the accusations lying down.
"She was before she met me," Jess argued back.
"And the reason why you don't know is because she can't even tell you, she can't even have a conversation with you."
Jess also revealed that Jojo had been "crying herself to sleep at night" because her parents wouldn't support her wedding.
"Wouldn't your dream just be for your child to be happy?" Jess asked with tears streaming down her face.
Jojo's parent's Sid and Lody won't accept she's a lesbian

"Maybe we are a bit old-fashioned darling, me and my husband," Lody finally admitted.
"I don't want her to cry herself to sleep... We still love you and we love her."
As for the wedding, Sid still refused to attend, while Lody said that she had to "respect" her husband and support his decision.
"I can't do what Joanne wants," Sid said.
"I'm sorry, I don't want you to be upset, but I'd be ashamed of myself."
