“Micah is a selfish, pot smoking California dreamer. Due to his addiction, he is a stoner, a loser, he is not the man that I want for my daughter or the father I want for my grandson” the 55-year-old says.
“The last type of person I would want Milly with is Micah. The idea of someone that’s so unmotivated being with Milly makes me mad. He actually is a deadbeat dad. He’s not there for his son, he’s not there for his partner. I want Micah out of Milly’s life to save her and Julian from a life of misery.”
Micah concedes that he smokes pot but disagrees with the notion he has a substance abuse problem.
The 25-year-old argues that it’s a lifestyle choice.
“It would be fair to say that I do consume a lot of cannabis. I’m a typical California surfer, I like to surf, play bass and smoke pot.”
The relationship took a turn for the worst when Micah moved in to Catherine’s house after Julian was born.
Just as the newly combined family were soaking up the joys of having a baby in the house, Micah broke Catherine’s ‘no drugs’ rule, which resulted in her asking him to leave.
“The visa that I had didn’t allow me to work in Australia and I had run out of money, so there was no other option, I had to move back to the US. Having to leave Julian and Milly was absolutely devasting for me. Everyone makes mistakes but I know that I need to show that I have changed,” says Micah.
Catherine hasn’t spoken to him since, creating a difficult situation for Milly.
“My mum and I are like best friends. It’s a really hard situation. I’m torn between Micah and my mum.
“I really need my mum’s approval and love for Micah and I to move forward and get married. If my mum didn’t come to my wedding it would honestly break my heart.”
Can the couple gain Catherine’s approval before their big day? Or, will their wedding day be sabotaged before they even walk down the aisle?
