Melissa believes that he’s ready to move on and with just weeks away from the wedding is hoping that her relatives can finally trust her fickle fiancé.
“Our relationship has had its troubles. I have had my issues in the past with gambling, but I came to a place where I got help and that’s something I’ve really worked on a lot throughout the years,” Aalden says.
But in episode four Melissa’s mum Jill and sister Rachel put husband-to-be Aalden under a lie detector test to ascertain if he’s still lying to her as they still feel strongly against Melissa marrying him.
“She says that she’s found her soulmate, but he’s smashed her soul into pieces," laments Jill.
Unbeknown to Melissa, Jill and Rachel ask Aalden to undergo the test and he willingly participates to. “I’m here for Melissa. I’m here to prove myself to her,” he says.
In the test he is asked if he has cheated again or attempted to cheat on Melissa.
He says no to both.
He’s also asked if he has gambled in the past three weeks or willing to undertake gambling addiction rehab.
He says he hasn’t and is willing to undergo the rehab.
“To be honest I felt like I have been dragged through the mud,” he says.
And when he tells Melissa what Jill and Rachel made Aalden do, she’s mortified.
“It’s absolute bullsh**.” Seethes Melissa.
“I’ll think they’ll be fine with the results,” says Aalden cockily.
When the test results come through, unfortunately it’s found he has been deceptive in all of his answers.
He has indeed attempted sexual conduct with other women and he has been gambling and is not willing to undergo gambling addiction treatment.
Jill is angry and distressed. “I didn’t want to be right about him, but I was.”
“I am raging,” she says.
What will Melissa say once she finds out her fiance is still deceiving her?
