The Biggest Loser host and fitness guru Bob Harper is recovering from a heart attack earlier this month that left the star unconscious for two days.
According to TMZ, the 51-year-old was working out in a gym in New York City two weeks ago when he collapsed. A fellow gym-goer - who also happened to be a doctor - administered CPR and used a defibrillator at the scene to keep him alive.
The LA based star was quickly transferred to a hospital where he remained for the following eight days.
TMZ reports that heart disease runs in Harper's family, as his mother previously died of a heart attack.
NBC News confirmed the incident in a statement released on Monday.
“Bob Harper confirms to NBC News that he had a heart attack two weeks ago yesterday. He is on the mend.”
Harper first appeared on the US reality series in 2004.
