The late child star’s body was found by a homeless passer by on a Los Angeles sidewalk at around 1am, law enforcement sources told TMZ. He had apparently jumped from a nearby building.
TMZ also reports that a suicide note found on or near Brad’s body gave the names of his parents and thanked important people in his life.
'We are completely devastated for he was an extremely talented young actor and wonderful, caring human being,' Brad’s management team wrote in a statement.
'He was reviving his career having just completed two movies and we are shocked and saddened by his passing. The family would appreciate privacy at this difficult time.'
Brad had alluded to his mental health struggles in the past.
A picture posted to the actor’s Instagram account in 2012 showed an extremely slender Brad posing in front of a mirror.
'Too pretty for #Hollywood.' He captioned the picture.
'And I'm gonna get skinnier too.....like the machinist.....I wanna play a cancer patient or something similar so I can connect w the families who are dealing w health issues like my family.'
That same year disillusioned Brad shared pictures of royalty checks for his previous work, including one for $1.62 and another for $38.91. 'F***Hollywood' he tagged the post.
Brad also appeared on other shows such as Evens Stevens, Days of Our Lives, Co-Ed Confidential and CSI: Miami.
He also had a small part in the 2004 teen movie A Cinderella Story.
