Tensions have reached new heights on The Voice Australia, after an on-air spat between Seal and Boy George leaving fellow judge Delta “kinda terrified.”
Viewers cringed during Sunday night’s episode, as the Culture Club singer interrupted the Kiss From A Rose hit-maker in the midst of his pitch to recruit NSW contestant Rennie Adams to his team.
“I truly feel I am the person to take you,” Seal explained after Rennie delivered a powerful rendition of Tiny Dancer.
“Seal always says this like he’s the only one up here who can do that,” Boy George said.
But it was clear that the Amazing singer wasn’t prepared to go down without a fight, as he reminded George of his previous success as a coach on the hit reality show.
“Do your Google’s mate,” he said
“I’ve won it twice.”
George spat back: “I have heard of you, it’s OK.”
“You can’t win everything, babe,” he continued. “You’re talking about you winning. We’re talking to him about what he’s doing, not what you’re doing.”
“There’s a lot of ego up here and that’s just Seal!” he added.
The bickering ended with Rennie picking Seal to be his coach, with the chartslayer taunting Boy George with a sarcastic fist bump as he warned him to “be careful” in future.
“Be careful?” George asked, turning to his un-impressed co-star Kelly Rowland for support. “What does that even mean?”
“That’s never gonna happen love!”
Speaking with one of the producers, the Karma Chameleon singer later complained that his fellow host was taking his role on the reality TV show too seriously.
“I don’t get all bent out of shape if I don’t get someone,” he said.
“I’m here to have fun and I’m not going to be told by anyone to ‘watch myself.’”
“Don’t threaten me, babe. It’s not gonna work.”
This comes as a source told News.com.au that last night’s sparring match was “just the tip of the iceberg” for the two Brits.
“There is no doubt the feud is 100 per cent real,” the source said.
“Seal feels George has crossed the line between professional and personal in some of his comments about Seal’s criticism of certain artists.”
“George likes to wind Seal up and he takes the bait every time.”
