Photos of what appears to be the couple having a lovers’ tiff have emerged, with a casually dressed Bindi, 20, and Chandler, 22, looking downcast as they strolled back to their car, before a cranky Chandler stormed off.
The next day, the couple – who met back in 2013 and have been inseparable ever since – went out for lunch at a small cafe and were joined by Bindi’s younger brother, Robert, 15.
However, if the pictures are anything to go by, Robert’s presence didn’t ease the couple’s already visible tension.
And at one point, the siblings are said to have exchanged some heated words as Chandler watched on.
“It certainly looked like Bindi and Robert were fighting,” dishes an onlooker.
“Bindi looked really mad and Robert was just copping it.”
Bindi, Chandler and Robert spend a lot of time together – as family, as colleagues at Australia Zoo, and as travel companions.
However, as their profiles continue to grow, it’s believed the trio are slowly drifting apart and have become increasingly frustrated with one another.
Insiders also say there’s been a level of sibling rivalry between Bindi and Robert over the past 12 months – something that’s never been there before and has come as a shock to those who know them.
“As Robert’s got older and he’s now going out on his own two feet, you can see there’s a bit of jealousy and competition coming out,” a source spills.
“For so many years, Bindi held Robert’s hand. They only really had each other and their mother Terri after Steve died.
“But now that Chandler is in the picture, and he’s there to stay, the professional and personal dynamics have completely changed.”
