She might have shot to fame in 2014 as the fresh-faced blonde on Big Brother, but Skye Wheatley is barely recognisable in her recent Instagram post.
The former reality TV star and model took to social media to debut her new look on Wednesday, after undergoing a long-awaited rhinoplasty to fix her “witches nose.”
Posing with a face-full of makeup and wearing a brunette wig, the difference in her appearance is undeniable.
In a recent interview with Yahoo7, Wheatley revealed graphic details about her latest surgery.
'When I woke up from surgery it was really painful because obviously I just had my face half ripped up,' the 22-year-old confessed.
'The surgeon took most of the cartilage out my tip because it was really long and when you looked down at my face from a particular angle, it looked like a witch’s nose. My nostrils were flared and I just wanted them brought in and down.'
Wheatley flew from her hometown on the Gold Coast to Sydney to have the surgery done but admitted she “freaked out” when the bandages first came off.
'I bawled my eyes out, I was like ‘what the f*ck is this?' she said of her reaction to her new nose. 'I was like, ‘What have I done? It was so swollen.'
Thankfully, since the swelling has subsided and the initial shock has worn off, Wheatley has revealed she is “really happy” with the results.
'Yesterday when I put my make-up on, I was like, "Oh my God, I don’t have to turn my head in photos. I can actually take a front-on photo. Now my nose is done I don’t have to focus on it anymore and I can love the things I do have and be grateful for them."
In November, Wheatley took to YouTube to explain why she felt the need to go under the knife, saying she’d always been self-conscious of her nostrils.
'It’s totally OK to have something done. I think that if it’s going to make you feel better about yourself, if it’s going to make you a little happier, it’s totally OK.'
This is not her first experience with plastic surgery. The ex-Big Brother contestant has previously admitted to having lip fillers done and in 2015 travelled to Bangkok for a breast augmentation which left her with a ‘double bubble’ in her chest.
In August, Wheatley told Daily Mail Australia she was planning to have surgery in the future to correct the botched job.
