Betty White 'collapses on 95th birthday'
Betty White suffered a collapse on her 95th birthday, US magazine Globe reports.
The Golden Girls star was leaving her home in Los Angeles’ Brentwood neighborhood on January 17 and stumbled on the way to the car, but her minder’s quick reflexes saved her from badly hurting herself.
Betty looked frail and clutched the arm of her assistant for balance, Globe reveals.
“She looked a little dazed and bewildered,” a source tells Globe. “I think she lost her footing.”
That morning, Betty had done a sit-down interview with Katie Couric, saying, “I’m the luckiest old broad on two feet.”
Betty was a radio star before becoming a big name on such TV shows as The Mary Tyler Moore Show and most recently Hot in Cleveland.
Globe’s source adds, “This woman is a dynamo and an inspiration to all of us. She’s still working, stays positive and never complains. We’re praying she’ll be around another 95 years.”
